Hey there,
My name is Amelia and I am a wife, mama of two and photographer. I live in the beautiful city of Adelaide, South Australia.
Every significant moment in my life has been documented with a camera and I tell you something, I am so super grateful that it has.
I think I was about three years old when I became aware of the power of photography. I would rummage through old photographs of my great grandparents and get lost in the images of yesteryear. My grandmothers Box Brownie was the first camera I learnt to use and when I turned six my parents passed on their old Pentax MG.
As a young school girl, I was the littlun' snapping shots of my friends as they made their way across the monkey bars. Instead of pouring over my geography textbooks I would study old National Geographic, Time and Life magazines. I remember framing portraits captured by Annie Liebovitz, Herb Ritts, Robert Altman, Linda McCartney and Henri Cartier-Bresson and hanging them on my bedroom wall. I remember being a twelve year old and weeping at the beauty of the black and white portraits that were captured of the 'Camelot era' - The Kennedy's in the White House. Woah... I know...right?!
My passion is documenting those moments that just happen. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I love to bring a lot of that beauty to the surface. As a mother, I am so very grateful to have two beautiful little beings of my own, whose moments I get to capture on a daily basis. An image speaks a thousand words and I would love the opportunity to capture some of those little moments in your life and preserve them as a keepsake forever.
I capture all of those little moments using natural light - no flashes ( I do have one if I need to use one). I simply blend in with the walls and capture the going's on of you and your life. I am available for any event, gathering, or occasion. It could be a family breakfast, birth, birthday party, engagement or wedding. Anything that you would like to capture, I can help you out.
Drop me a line and tell me all about your tale.
Big Love,
Amelia
